GROUNDHOG DAY (M, 101 mins)

Comic actor Bill Murray gives one of the best and warmest performances of his career in this genius comedy (arguably the best of the 1990s) from writers Harold Ramis (who also directs)  and Danny Rubin.  This wonderful, clever and hysterically funny comedy also stars Andie McDowell.

Teamed with a relentlessly cheerful producer and a smart-aleck cameraman, cynical TV weatherman Phil Connors is sent to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, to cover the annual Groundhog Day festivities. But on his way out of town, Phil is caught in a giant blizzard, which he failed to predict, and finds himself stuck in small-town hell. Just when things couldn't get any worse, they do. Phil wakes the next morning to find it's Groundhog Day all over again... and again... and again.

Interval: 15mins - enjoy $10 KAHLUA COLD BREW!

THE BIG CHILL (M, 103 mins)

Lawrence Kasdan's much imitated but never bettered nostalgic film captures all the idealistic feelings and disappointments of the 60s generation stuck the materialistic 80s featuring an ensemble cast that includes Tom Berenger, Glenn Close, Jeff Goldblum, William Hurt, and Kevin Kline all of whom deliver the right combination of sadness and humour that never lapses into sentimentality.

A group of former college housemates come together when one of their friends commits suicide and spend a weekend at a beautiful seaside home.
