MAKING THE SURFER IN WA
Hear about the making of THE SURFER from producer James Grandison, production designer Emma Fletcher and costume designer Lien See Leong.
Filmed in Yallingup, Western Australia, THE SURFER is Nicolas Cage’s first film set in Australia.
Delivering “one of his best performances” (The Telegram), Cage plays a man who returns to the idyllic beach of his childhood to surf with his son. When humiliated by a group of powerful locals, he is drawn into a conflict that rises with the punishing heat of the summer and pushes him right to his breaking point.
Film at 3.30pm with Q&A post-film at Luna Leederville on Sunday 18th May.
