Luna Leederville is the heart and soul of independent and arthouse cinema in Perth. What started in 1994 as a twin screen on the corner of Oxford and Vincent Street in Leederville has grown into an integral part of the fabric of WA’s film scene. Housed inside this iconic, heritage-listed Art Deco building is so much more than just a cinema – it’s a community hub, a home away from home, a welcoming space where our punters can escape into the magic of film.

We’re four-time winners of AIDA’s Best Metropolitan Independent Cinema Award, competing with cinemas across the entire country. Our mission is to provide the people of Perth with titles and experiences not shown anywhere else. From cult classics to modern masterpieces, to world-class performances from the New York Met Opera and National Theatre – we guarantee we have something to delight even the most discerning of cinephiles.

At Luna, film is more than just a viewing experience; it's an event. We regularly host Filmmaker Q&A sessions where you can rub elbows with renowned directors and actors, as well as Advance Screening and Preview Events, and Release Parties. When the weather warms up, the magic extends outdoors - our fully licensed Luna Outdoor Cinema offers a perfect setting to enjoy movies under the Summer night sky.

Just minutes from central Perth, Luna Leederville is easily accessible via public transport. We're a short stroll from Leederville Train Station, and buses 15 and 401 will drop you right at our door!
