Synopsis

Australian Premiere

Special Forces veteran Elyas (Roschdy Zem, The Origin of Evil, AF FFF23) lives in isolation, haunted by the horrors of Afghanistan. When a ghost from his past reappears, he is drawn back into a world he swore to forget. Now working as a bodyguard for Amina (Laëtitia Eïdo) and her teenage daughter Nour, he must protect the family from shadowy forces – even if his paranoia threatens to consume him. But what, or who exactly, are Amina and Nour hiding from?

As Nour works her way into his heart, a mysterious syndicate shatters their peace. Forced to confront highly-trained enemies in a tense game of survival, Elyas must reactivate the soldier within, or risk losing everything. With every decision crucial, and every person a threat to Nour, will Elyas' survival instincts become his greatest weapon?

Action-thriller director Florent-Emilio Siri (director of Hostage starring Bruce Willis) returns to the big screen with his most explosive film yet. Roschdy Zem’s nuanced performance alongside newcomer Jeanne Michel, transforms Elyas into a gripping, edge-of-your-seat film. Perfect for fans of John Wick and Taken, Elyas asks how far you would go to protect the people you care for.
