Synopsis
Penny-pinching Justine (Sandrine Kiberlain, November, AF FFF23) is sick of hustling. So when her boss, high-flying investor Franck (Daniel Auteuil, A Silence, AF FFF24), approaches her to organise a showstopping romantic weekend for him and the woman with whom he has fallen hopelessly in love, she jumps on board. What could possibly go wrong with €14,000 cash upfront and a weekend of romance?
Given free creative control, Justine and her unemployed husband Albin (Denis Podalydès, The President's Wife, AF FFF24) devise the perfect solution: they'll give Franck their own profit-making version of the ultimate love boat experience. Engaging a motley crew of friends also keen to make a buck, they’re like Ocean's Eleven on a budget. But when Franck reveals that Justine is the woman of his dreams, it looks like this love boat is about to get a little crowded...
Love Boat is a hysterical comedy of errors from actor-director Bruno Podalydès that will have you laughing out loud at absurd disguises, misguided intentions, and chaotic schemes. Expect the very best of the worst – half bottles, cut corners, and special deals – all as long as it's not too expensive.
