Misunderstood when it first hit theatres, the influence of Ridley Scott's mysterious, neo-noir Blade Runner has only deepened with time. A visually remarkable, achingly human sci-fi masterpiece, it follows "Blade Runner" Deckard (Harrison Ford) who is forced out of retirement by the head of Police to continue his old job hunting down illegal advanced, human-like androids called "Replicants." His assignment: eliminate four escaped Replicants from the lunar colonies who have returned to Earth.

Neo (Keanu Reeves), a mild-mannered software author by day and feared hacker by night, is contacted by Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), a beautiful stranger who leads him into an underworld where he meets Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), an elusive figure considered to be the most dangerous man alive. Morpheus reveals the truth about reality to Neo, and his role in the war against its controllers.
