Bring Her Back
Synopsis
From Australian filmmakers Danny and Michael Philippou — the visionary duo behind Talk to Me — comes Bring Her Back, a chilling story of two siblings who uncover a dark ritual in their foster home and must fight to survive.
When teenage step-siblings Andy (Billy Barratt) and Piper (Sora Wong) are placed in foster care after the death of their last surviving parent, they find themselves in the care of Laura (two-time Oscar nominee Sally Hawkins, The Shape of Water), a seemingly compassionate counselor. But behind her nurturing facade lies something far more sinister.
Alongside a withdrawn and troubled orphan named Oliver (Jonah Wren Phillips), Andy and Piper begin to unravel the disturbing truth: Laura is haunted by the death of her own daughter—and is desperate to bring her back. Guided by a mysterious "angel," Laura is willing to sacrifice everything, and everyone, to complete a dark and ancient ritual.
What begins as a new start for the siblings turns into a harrowing fight for survival in this chilling "spiritual successor" to Talk to Me, A24’s highest-grossing horror film to date.

Reviews
Delivers a disturbing, character-focused story about grief while pushing the boundaries of on-screen violence.
“Bring Her Back” doubles down on its predecessor’s willingness to punish the innocent. I’m beginning to think that the Philippous don’t just want to shatter our nerves: They want to break our hearts.
★★★★ Sally Hawkins is intensely disturbing as the foster parent from hell, with Jonah Wren Phillips playing a creepy kid for the ages.
With an unhinged Sally Hawkins spearheading its mayhem, this sinister saga firmly establishes the filmmakers’ place near the head of the contemporary horror class.
