Synopsis
Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson star in the latest film from visionary director Lynne Ramsay (Ratcatcher), producer Martin Scorsese and the studio behind The Substance.
In a forgotten patch of countryside, a woman is battling her demons: embracing exclusion yet wanting to belong, craving freedom whilst feeling trapped, yearning for family life but wanting to burn the entire house down. Grace (Lawrence), a writer and young mother, is slowly slipping into madness. Though she is given surprising leeway by her husband Jackson (Pattinson) for her increasingly erratic behaviour, she nevertheless feels ever more stifled and repressed.
Lynne Ramsay's bold brave film Die My Love is a primal, riveting psychosexual marital thriller about a woman experiencing postpartum psychosis, with Lawrence's intense performance drawing comparisons to Isabelle Adjani in Andrzej Żuławski's iconic 1981 film Possession.
