Synopsis

From legendary producer and screenwriter James L. Brooks (The Simpsons, The Mary Tyler Moore Show) comes a sharp, big-hearted story about love, ambition, and the beautiful mess of modern life.

Ella McCay is a heartfelt and hilarious new comedy about the chaos of caring too much - about your work, your family, and everyone in between. At its centre is an idealistic young woman determined to do it all, even as the people she loves make that nearly impossible.

Starring an extraordinary ensemble including Emma Mackey, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jack Lowden, Kumail Nanjiani, Ayo Edebiri, Spike Fearn, Rebecca Hall, Julie Kavner, Becky Ann Baker, Joey Brooks, with Albert Brooks and Woody Harrelson, Ella McCay is a comedy about the people who drive you crazy and the ones you couldn’t live without.

Screening from December 11 at Luna Leederville, Luna on SX, and the Windsor.
