Synopsis
Part remake, part sequel to the original, Evil Dead II sees Ash (Bruce Campbell) and his girlfriend Linda (Denise Bixler) head to a remote cabin for a romantic getaway. When Ash plays an audio recording of incantations from the Necronomicon, it leads to (another) demonic attack that spirals into the woods and draws in more hapless victims. Not so much a follow-up as a ruthless self-parody, Evil Dead II ranks as one of the most visually inventive, relentless, and truly original films ever made.
