Synopsis

Shot as a traditional feature, but with some elements of found footage, Shelby Oaks is a horror film about missing paranormal investigators (the paranormal paranoids), the dark legacy they uncovered, and the far-reaching effects their investigation has as Mia searches for her sister Riley, the lead paranormal investigator, 12 years later.

As Mia uncovers new and disturbing leads related to Riley’s disappearance, she uncovers evidence of a hidden supernatural evil dating all the way back to her and Riley’s childhood.

Described as 'one of the most promising voices in horror '(Slashfilm), the debut feature written and directed by filmmaker and YouTube creator Chris Stuckmann starring Camille Sullivan, Brendan Sexton III, Michael Beach, Robin Bartlett, and Keith David.

Shelby Oaks had its world premiere at the 28th Fantasia International Festival, where it was critically acclaimed. BJ Colangelo of Film, writing that "with Sullivan's phenomenal performance and Stuckmann's keen eye, Shelby Oaks allows us to witness the start of one of the most promising new voices in horror." while Alison Foreman of IndieWire stated Shelby Oaks praises Michael Gingold of Rue Morgue praises the film stating "the doomy atmosphere Stuckmann elicits through both the accumulating detail in the found-footage material and the eerie visuals he and Baird conjure up as Mia gets closer to the town's heart of darkness."
