Synopsis
Heretic, the new spine-tingling horror from cult studio A24 stars Hugh Grant as you've never seen him before.
Sister Barnes (Yellowjackets’ Sophie Thatcher) and Sister Paxton (The Fabelmans’ Chloe East) are two young missionaries who become ensnared in a deadly game of cat and mouse when they knock on the door of the diabolical Mr. Reed (Hugh Grant).
Initially, he seems like an ideal candidate, curious and enthusiastic and far more aware of the intricacies of their religion than most. But his need for discussion and debate starts to turn into something darker as he challenges the morality of their doctrines, and, as the girls attempt to leave, they realise that something bigger is planned for them. Trapped in his home, they must turn to their faith if they want to make it out alive. Hugh Grant delivers a menacing performance, tearing into the role with devilish glee.
