Synopsis
Four friends on a late-night drive find themselves trapped on an endless road to nowhere.
Recent college graduates Tyler, James, Fisher and Day head out for a bite to eat on one of their last nights together before life inevitably sends them off in different directions. But after missing a turn and circling back only to find a dead end that isn’t marked on Google Maps, the friends realise that they’re stuck on an infinite highway…and that something terrifying is lurking in the dense, dark forest on either side of them. Are they in purgatory? Is it a shared hallucination, or a portal to another dimension?
Using this deceptively simple premise as a jumping-off point for unexpected detours into philosophically knotty places, It Ends is a gen Z movie through and through – deeply unnerving, and speaking directly to a generation whose uncertain future can feel more frightening than any monster.

Reviews
Creative, unsettling, and surprisingly thought-provoking, this is a strong entry in indie sci-fi horror, proving that a smart script and eerie atmosphere can go a long way.
Through this horrifying premise and powerfully simple, sense-dulling filmmaking, Alex Ullom becomes a filmmaker to watch as he inquires about the very real lack of motivation in a generation without direction.
“It Ends” is not only a thrilling film but also an inspired inspection into the fears and existential dread that plague Gen-Z, all of which is bolstered by Alexander Ullom’s fantastic screenplay and an amazing quartet of performances.
