Rondallas
Two years after the tragic sinking of a fishing boat that devastated their small community, a coastal village in Galicia decides to revive their traditional music ensemble, the rondalla. Deciding that it is time to rekindle hope and move beyond mourning, members young and old reunite to bring the traditional group back to life, aiming to compete in an annual local contest against neighbouring villages.
As the community slowly rediscovers the joy and enthusiasm they had lost, unexpected revelations about the cause of the shipwreck threaten to disrupt their fragile harmony. With the rondalla in jeopardy, 18-year-old Andrea is chosen to step up and lead the band, following in the footsteps of her late father. Soon she reignites a long-lost spark in the village by blending traditional instruments with contemporary hits.
Written and directed by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, Band Together is a heartfelt gem about the power of music and community that features a stellar ensemble cast led by triple Goya-winner Javier Gutiérrez and a standout performance by newcomer Judith Fernández.
