Werwulf

From visionary filmmaker Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman, Nosferatu) comes a chilling medieval nightmare steeped in folklore, faith and fear.

Set in the shadowed English countryside at the turn of the 14th century, WERWULF follows a cursed man whose battle with a monstrous force threatens to consume not only his humanity, but those closest to him.

As whispers of a terrifying beast spread through isolated villages, paranoia gives way to hysteria. Ancient beliefs blur with brutal reality as the line between man and monster begins to disappear, confronting evil in its most primal form.

Reuniting Eggers with stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, and Willem Dafoe, WERWULF delivers the director's signature blend of meticulous historical authenticity and unnerving gothic horror. A savage, atmospheric tale of devotion, damnation and the beast within, this is folk horror at its most haunting.

Screening from January 1 at Luna Leederville.
