Synopsis
An American drama of uncommon intelligence, humour, and grace, the latest from writer-director Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton) stars Pedro Pascal in a career-best performance as a cellist picking up the pieces of a fractured life.
A former child prodigy living in the shadow of a storied musical family, Alex (Pascal) has left his position with an orchestra in Chicago—fleeing a soured relationship with a manic ex (Olivia Wilde)—and returned to Los Angeles to record Hollywood film scores and resolve unfinished family business. Music, which has been the constant, all-consuming river of his life, begins to carry Alex on an adventure that will change him forever.

Reviews
The multilayered music, fluid camerawork, and Pascal's performance blend into an exhilarating experience.
Undeniably transformative and ambitious.
Behemoth! is suitably symphonic in construction, a mature pleasure whose faith in its audience, and in the craft it celebrates, is a rarity in American cinema.
