Synopsis
Eleven-year-old Mary loves cooking and loves her Granny, who is sadly dying. But Granny can’t let go of life, and when a mysterious young woman turns up in Mary’s street with a message for Granny, Mary gets pulled into an unlikely adventure.
In this delicate coming-of-age story, filled with joy and laughter, four generations of women head off on a glorious journey together that takes them down memory lane in unexpected ways, and gives them the opportunity to truly and deeply learn about each other.
Based on a book by Roddy Doyle and directed by Italian animator Enzo d'Alò, with a voice cast that includes Brendan Gleeson, this heartfelt animation from Ireland is a celebration of how family bonds steer us through life’s greatest challenges.
