Cine Wonders: Sirocco and the Kingdom of Winds

Synopsis

Described as France’s answer to Spirited Away, Sirocco and The Kingdom of the Winds is a dive into the world of imagination when two sisters, Juliette and Carmen, get magically transported into the world of their favourite book.

Now transformed into humanoid cats, the sisters are quickly separated in this new land, which features flying divas, technicolour dragons and other mind-melting creations, including the mysterious blue-haired wizard Sirocco, who can control the winds. While Juliette and Carmen must figure out how to reunite and escape back into the real world, they find it harder than they imagined to leave their new magical world and curious friends.

This psychedelic fairy tale years in the making comes from the imagination of director Benoît Chieux. With captivating creatures and a vibrant Dr Seuss-like world, Sirocco and the Kingdom of Winds is a kaleidoscopic fantasy adventure bursting with charm and wonder.
