Synopsis

Exploring the life of Genesis P-Orridge through interviews and archive footage, S/He is Still Her/e offers a fascinating portrait of the musician and artist.

Instructed to “short circuit control” by William S Burroughs no less, this process would subsequently entail a lifetime of performance art, mail art, industrial music, dance music, magic, ‘paganism’, psychedelic thinking, and pandrogey.

Director Rodrigues also explores P-Orridges’ personal life, especially his life in exile, and the relationship between the artist’s public and private lives.

Deeply embedded in the counter culture, P-Orridge emerges here as a visionary artist and thinker, but also as a father and a family man.
